[Private from Victoria]
Sooooooo.....she likes Old Spice.
I think. I don't know. Maybe?
I mean. She asked if I needed more of it. When I was in the shower and she came in to get something.
But uh, right. Back to why I'm bringing this up.
Anybody knows what Victoria likes or what she's interested in? I'd like to give her some kind of Thank You gift for taking care of me but there's not much in the apartment that she has that can tell me something. Except for a lot of our gear, and a lot of books with pictures in them.
But I don't see her reading a lot...gah, help? Please?

Sergea--I mean, Victoria's left her place with me for a couple of days. Not sure what I can do for her since I'm still on crutches, but there wasn't much room for argument with her.
But hey, the place hasn't changed much as far as I can tell. Still got that hole in the wall though I'm not sure why it looks familiar....
But yeah, anyone's looking for the Sar--uh, Victoria, she's down in Florida with Sophia. Leave a message, I'll pass it along and so on, so on.
Damn am I glad there aren't stairs in her place. And hot water? Whooooweeeee.

It seems like my brother and sister are being productive (for once?) in their training.
I just hope they know and their recruiters know what they're getting into.

Bia, are we...really going to leave our brother in the sand like that?
It is his fault for trying to pick a fight with every shirtless mortal man we've come across.
But, at least we could've left a plastic shovel near him. Which he could use.
With his teeth.
Somehow.

I am not certain as to whether or not I will be returning to that desert ever again. The more time I spend there, the more I feel I should not.
But for what it was worth, those men have fought as bravely as any.
They will be remembered for it.

All is calm for now.
Happy Mother's Day, Mother. Thank you for putting up with your children and our squabbles.
I still have much to learn from you, patience-wise.

Victory is not without purpose. For a cause with a purpose, there will be victory. This war is slowly lacking cause, and I foresee that I will be rid of it soon. Promises and deadlines are glimmers of hope, but I am Victory.
I will choose what I see to be fit of my efforts.
New York, I take leave of your tiresome drama. My time is needed elsewhere.

There's a lot of noise and unnecessary havoc going around these days. Jared left, he was called back to Iraq again. His company will be missed, although I'm still having a hard time trying to persuade him to think that his life was not in danger, no matter what the bloodstains meant.
I wish him luck. I wish all of them luck.

The living room looks like Katrina just waltzed in here and left, but the blood on the floor and walls? Can't say they're not familiar, but damn did Victoria kick ass last night. Kind of scary with the sword, but okay.
Anybody see a woman, uh, around five foot seven with light blonde hair? Maybe got a nasty cut on her shoulder? Victoria Apteros? Anyone? Bia? Jerkface? Vince? Sophia? Who else did she tell me about?
Fuck, I knew I shouldn't have let her go by herself, that guy had a sword, who the hell uses swords?

Peeps are...rather sweet. And sticky.
As demonstrated by Jared, they are amusing to use for decorations and depicting silly harmless scenes of violence.
I like the pink ones.

Here and back again.
I've brought someone with me this time. It seems like my siblings have become quite acquainted with him, although in a positive or negative manner, I have yet to know. However, the purpose was wholly charitable and because he has yet to see New York. I had some pity for the boy, so I brought him along.
But know this. Anyone who dares to harm a single hair upon him will answer to me.
This means the deadweight with wings who is still not talking to me, too.

HI GUYS. GIRLS. CHIKS. I DONT KNOW DID I COVER EVERYONE?
SGT. APTEROS TOLD ME TO TELL EVERYONE, FAMILY FIRST I THINK< THAT--
Cheese an' rice, do you know how to type or don't you, you big ape? Leavin' the capslock on that one, people might think you're as bad as spam mail.
Anyways, she's coming back sometime like April 2, I think. It's not an April Fool's joke, we've got plenty of those here as it is. Ray woke up with a grenade in his mouth, broke protocol sure and sure as hell pissed Apteros off, but hey, it was worth it to see him shit his pants.
So whoever's this is to (why does she have a folder named "Jesus"?) uh, she's coming back and bringing someone along. Not her sister Bia, I'm hopin' she'll stay with us because we need at least one, Apteros around here.
Or maybe, I dunno. She said her family was from a foreign country right? Greek or Roman? (Wait, Roman?)
γεια σου, then. I hope I wrote that right. What did she mean about writing a Will though? I mean it's only because I don't have a place to stay until I get called back again...
[edit]
Oh yeah, Hi. I'm Jared.

Strangely enough, I miss my squad and their humor. I hope their numbers have been the same since I've left. I have yet to strangle two of them personally for their crude jokes and pranks.

I would be in the desert already if there was not a promise for a "field trip".
I did some research. These mortals seem to be picky on attire in this setting.
For Bia, maybe a dress. But not the skirt you wore that night when Dionysus threw that party.
For Zelus, something formal. Your attire from that decade when you attempted to go to school, is not recommended.
No hard feelings about the whole tattoo my ass business.
All is forgiven.

Today, a little music/video store in Greenwich proved itself to be interesting and fruitful towards my time spent there.
( In it, I found this song. )
I've already bought the CD and mailed it as "get well" present to the chew toys.
These songs by mortals can never compare to those of Orpheus', however, they do prove to be interesting from time to time.

Instead of the Olympus throw down I was hoping for, I find myself involved in an immortal face off on the ice. The last time I've been around such an arena was in 1980, Lake Placid, NY, so this would prove to be interesting.
Nostalgic, even.

The battles in Afghanistan seemed even less hopeless than what appears to be happening around here. Sabotage, road side bombs, hidden mines; all very nice attempts but hardly close to any tangible goal. But I suppose neither situation really have "ends" to them anytime soon, do they?
I, personally, will have no say on either matter until there are true contenders willing to step up to the plate and fight rather than dicking around and taking turns backstabbing.
Whatever happened to a good old-fashioned Olympus throwdown?
